MEET OUR STAFF
KELLY BLESSING
Preschool Director
Kelly Blessing has been a part of St Lucas Preschool since 2011. She has a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education. Kelly is married and has 3 boys, all of which attended St Lucas Preschool. In her spare time, she likes to spend time with her family, go to her boys hockey games, root for the St Louis Blues, and read. She loves the dedication of the staff and the long standing traditions that makes St Lucas Preschool such a wonderful place to work.
BARB COUGHLIN
Office Administrator
Barb Coughlin has been with St. Lucas Preschool since February 2009 and provides support to the Preschool as the Office Administrator. She is married to Dan Coughlin and has 2 children, both of which attended St. Lucas Preschool. Barb is a member of the St. Lucas UCC Church, and enjoys volunteering in many aspects of the church. Barb has a BS degree in Marketing and has previously worked in College Admissions and Students Services.
TINA BOEVINGLOH
Teacher
Tina Boevingloh has been with St. Lucas since 2015. She is married and has two daughters. Tina holds a Master’s degree in Elementary Education. Prior to St. Lucas, Tina was a preschool teacher for 7 years where she taught many different age groups ranging from two to four year olds. In her spare time she loves taking pictures and spending quality time with her family. She is thrilled to work with the children and families at St. Lucas.
CHRISTINA DINGA
Assistant
Christina has two sons that attended St. Lucas and, after having a wonderful experience with them at the preschool, was excited to join the staff as an assistant in 2022. Before staying at home with her children, she spent about 15 years working as a Social Worker in the St. Louis area. Christina is enjoying the work force again and her time back with the St. Lucas community. In her spare time, Christina enjoys spending time with her husband and sons, reading, doing volunteer work, playing games, and traveling.
BECKY FELICIANO
Teacher
Becky Feliciano has been involved with St. Lucas for the past 6 years. She has played many roles; first as a parent, then as an assistant, Parents Day Out teacher, and for the last three years as a teacher working with three year old children. Becky has been married for 16 1/2 years to Tony and has a daughter named Grace. She loves working with children. Becky is very involved at her daughter's school and is also her girl scout leader. Becky has a BS from SEMO in Housing and Interior Design. She loves that she is one of the first people to introduce your children to preschool. Becky loves working with the wonderful staff and families of St. Lucas.
GINNY FISCHER
Assistant
Ginny Fischer has worked in education for over 35 years. She started as a preschool teacher's aide and then became the secretary for the preschool. She then transferred over to the high school and worked in the office as the Secretary/Accounts Payable Administrative Assistant. She is married, the mother of two daughters, and has two grandchildren. She loves going to her granddaughter's dance competitions and watching her grandson play baseball. She is a member of St. Lucas Church and fell in love with the Preschool when her granddaughter attended school there. The teachers were so loving, caring and kind. They definitely prepared her for kindergarten. She enjoys being with the little ones and seeing their smiling faces each day!
VIVIAN FLEMING
Assistant
Vivian has been retired from Cass Information Systems since 8/2019.
She has been married to Mike Fleming for 52 years and they have two wonderful children: Kelly (Jeff) and Jason (Chrissy). I also am so blessed to have six grandchildren: Jeremy (Erin), Lexi, Jake, Kayla, Grant and Olivia. I feel very fortunate to work in Aftercare at St Lucas preschool.
KATHY HENSLER
Teacher
Kathy Hensler has been a teacher at St. Lucas since 1988. A life long St. Louisan, she is the proud product of Cleveland High School, Mizzou, and Harris-Stowe Teachers College. She has taught PSR at her parish for over thirty years. Kathy has two children and seven grandchildren. She feels that working with the wonderful children, families, and staff of St. Lucas is a privilege and a real joy.
CAROL HUSTER
Assistant
Carol Huster joined our staff in 2015 as a Hall Assistant. After 5 years as a Classroom Assistant in the Yellow Bird room, and PDO teacher, she is now a Hall Assistant again. She has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Cincinnati in nutrition. She moved here from Tennessee in 2013 where she was the assistant director of her church's preschool for 5 years. She enjoys spending time with her five grandchildren.
LYNDA KLOSTERMAN
Teacher
Lynda has been a part of St Lucas Preschool since 2015. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with state certification in Early Childhood and a Master’s degree in Education. She taught kindergarten and first grade in the Lindbergh and Maplewood school districts for 31 years. She resides in Crestwood and has three grown children. Being around young children brings her such joy and she is thrilled to be working with the children and families at St Lucas Preschool!
MARY KNOTT
Assistant
โMary Knott joined the staff of St. Lucas in 2021 as a classroom assistant. After working in education for about 20 years Mary retired but found she missed being in the classroom with early learners. She loves that " light bulb" moment when a student realizes their goal; whether that be stacking blocks or putting on their jacket. She and her husband, Bill, have been married for over 30 years and live in Oakville.
LISA LAUBER
Teacher
Lisa Lauber has a B.A. in Early Childhood Education from Missouri State University. After graduation, she started teaching as a Wobbler teacher teaching 1 year- olds at an Early Childhood Center in Fort Collins, CO. After moving back to Missouri and getting married she continued teaching in St. Louis until choosing to stay at home with her 3 kids. In her spare time, she loves to watch her kid’s sports games, travel, try new restaurants, and go for walks. She’s passionate about early learning and is happy to be a part of the St. Lucas community!
MICHELE MARGENAU
Assistant
Michele has been a member of St. Lucas UCC since 2000. She worked in the publishing industry for 30+ years but her heart has always involved working with young children. Michele worked in the St. Lucas UCC crib room for 4 years. In her spare time, she loves music, reading and traveling. Michele has been to 4 of the 7 continents and hopes to travel to the other 3 very soon.
MUFFIE MEYERS
Music Teacher
Muffie Meyers signed on as our music teacher in January of 2018. She has a Master's degree in the 'art of teaching', M.A.T., along with a Bachelor's degree in special education K- 12 and early childhood education for both typically developing children and those with special needs. In 2017, after 40 years in the field of education, Muffie 'retired". However, she was beyond thrilled when she saw the 'tiny job' opening for a music teacher at St. Lucas. Now she can continue to share her love of music with children even in her retirement years.
GWYN NOTTELMANN
Teacher
Gwyn Nottelmann has been a teacher at St. Lucas since 2004. She is married and has 3 children: Evan, Kristin and Kaitlyn. She began her studies in accounting at Southeast Missouri State University but switched her major to Education when she realized her passion for teaching. She earned her Associate's Degree with an emphasis in Education. Working with kids and watching them grow and develop is what keeps Gwyn excited for each new school year. In her spare time, she enjoys painting, making crafts, riding her bicycle and watching her daughter play college softball.
JENNIFER PUNNEWAERT
Teacher
Jen Punnewaert is returning to teaching after taking many years off to stay at home with her two girls. She has a BA in English from Kent State University and a secondary teaching certificate from UM-St. Louis. Before choosing to stay home, she worked as a preschool teacher at Kirkwood Baptist Wee Center. Working with young children has always been something that she enjoys and finds rewarding. Jen is also a church member at St. Lucas. She has served on the Preschool Board and has been a vacation bible school volunteer for many years. She feels blessed to now be a part of the preschool staff.
LISA QUINN
Teacher
Lisa Quinn has a special education degree from Missouri State University. She taught in Lindbergh for the last twenty five years. She is married and has two daughters. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, gardening and outdoor activities. She is honored to be part of St. Lucas Preschool and the wonderful staff and families because she loves working with children.
VANESSA SCHWOB
Teacher
Vanessa Schwob has been with St. Lucas since 2003. She is married and has two children, a son and a daughter. She has a BS in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from the University of Missouri St. Louis and is certified to teach both. In her spare time she enjoys reading and playing with her grandchildren.
ELAINE SIMON
Assistant
Elaine Simon has been at St. Lucas for the last 7 years as a teacher and an aide. She has a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Special Education. Before she had her children, she taught first grade at Seven Holy Founders. She lives in Affton with her husband and 6 daughters (who all attended St. Lucas Preschool). She enjoys being a part of the St. Lucas Community!
ANGIE SUNDHAUSEN
Teacher
Angie has a Masters Degree in Special Education from Webster University. She taught in the Lindbergh School District for the past 28 years. She has worked on a variety of leadership committees within the Lindbergh School District. She enjoys working with students and teaching them both academically and socially. Her greatest accomplishment is seeing students succeed when they find things that are difficult/new for them. Their smiles on their faces says it all. She is married and has two daughters. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, watching them play soccer, relaxing on her deck, and hiking. She is happy to be a part of the St Lucas staff to continue her teaching experience.
JANET WALLINGER
Assistant
Janet Wallinger has been with St. Lucas Preschool since 2014. She has been married for 27 years and has 3 daughters. Janet is also a member of the St. Lucas UCC church. She has her MS in ME from Washington University and until joining us at the Preschool enjoyed many years as a "stay at home" mom. Janet loves working with the children and nurturing them as they embark on their journey of learning about themselves and the world around them.
