St. Lucas Preschool - Meet The Staff


 

St. Lucas Preschool Director

Connie Stoltz has been with St. Lucas as the Preschool Director since 2014.  She brings new energy and ideas to enhance the traditions established in St. Lucas UCC Preschool’s 40-plus year history.  She has a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Missouri-Columbia and has also completed her Masters in Management and Education.  She is certified in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Eduation, Special Education (birth to grade 12) and holds a certificate in Child Development through the St. Louis Psychoanalytic Institute.  Prior to St. Lucas, she designed and taught the two year old class at St. John’s Lutheran School in Ellisville, but has also taught kindergarten and worked in corporate management.  She is delighted to be working with “the most dedicated teachers I’ve ever met."

 

St. Lucas Preschool Teachers

  Kathy Hensler has been a teacher at St. Lucas since 1988.  A life long St. Louisan, she is the proud product of Cleveland High School, Mizzou, and Harris-Stowe Teachers College.  She has taught PSR at her parish for over thirty years.  Kathy has two children and seven grandchildren. She feels that working with the wonderful children, families, and staff of St. Lucas is a privilege and a real joy.
  Patty Muhs has been a teacher with St. Lucas since 1998, and has been a preschool teacher for 26 years.  Patty has a degree and certification in Early Childhood Education.  She has 3 daughters and 6 grandchildren and loves being around children, watching and helping them grow. Autumn of 2015 Patty celebrated 40 years of marriage with her husband.  "I am blessed!", says Patty.
   Vanessa Schwob has been with St. Lucas since 2003.  She is married and has two children, a son and a daughter.  She has a BS in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from the University of Missouri St. Louis and is certified to teach both.  In her spare time she enjoys reading and playing with her grandchildren.
   

Nancy Broeg joined the St. Lucas Preschool staff in 2003.  She has a B.S. in Elementary Education and Special Education from the University of Missouri-Coumbia and is certified to teach both.  Nancy is married and has two children, one attended St. Lucas Preschool.  She has four amazing grandchildren.  She enjoys gardening, traveling and spending time with friends and family.  She looks forward to a great year working together for your child's successful preschool experience.

 

My name is Gwyn Nottelmann. I was born in Kansas and moved to St. Louis when I was 12.  I’ve been blessed with 33 years of marriage and have three wonderful kids. I’m also a grandma to three beautiful grandkids.  I’ve had the joy of teaching children at St. Lucas Preschool for 11 years and love it! During the summer I enjoy working on crafts, running/exercise when possible and while traveling to my daughters softball tournaments I like to read.  I have two Golden Retrievers, one is 12 and the other is 2.

  Kelly Blessing has been with St. Lucas since 2011.  Kelly received her BS in Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood Education from Harris Stowe State College in 1995.  Kelly was a preschool teacher/director for a small Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau and taught Kindergarten in Jackson, MO prior to becoming a stay at home mom.  She has been married for 21 years and has 3 wonderful boys; Jeremy, Jake and Grant.  Having had all of her children attend St. Lucas, she fell in love with the teachers, families, and the way her children were prepared for Kindergarten.  When she was ready to go back to teacher, she knew that St. Lucas was the perfect fit for her.
 
Becky Feliciano has been involved with St. Lucas for the past six years.  She has played many roles; first as a parent, then as an assistant, Parents Day Out teacher, and for the last three years as a teacher working with three year old children. Becky has been married for 16 1/2 years to Tonyand has a daughter named Grace.  She loves working with children.  Becky is very involved at her daughter's school and is also her girl scout leader.  Becky has a BS from SEMO in Housing and Interior Design.  She loves that she is one of the first people to introduce your children to preschool.  Becky loves working with the wonderful staff and families of St. Lucas. 
 
 

Lori Kraft has been with St. Lucas since 2014.  She grew up and received her college education in Western Pennsylvania.  She has lived in Florida, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and eventually settled here in St. Louis twenty years ago. Her experience with children ranges in age from infancy through the fifth grade.  Lori is married and has three children.  Her family also includes three furry children: a dog named Max and two cats, Freddy and Lulu. They love to travel and explore new areas. Some of their favorite vacation spots are Ft. Myers, Florida and Bethany Beach, Delaware.  Lori is very excited to teach at St. Lucas and share her love of learning with the children.  As Lori states, "They are a joy to work with. As an educator there is nothing more exciting than seeing a child master a skill, discover their strengths, and assist them as they foster their interests."

 

Sarah Carosello has been with St Lucas since 2015.  She has a bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education.  She has two children, both of which attended St Lucas for preschool.  She has enjoyed the past 6 years being a "stay at home" mom.  She is so excited to work with the children at St. Lucas.

 

Kristyn Noll has been with St. Lucas since 2015.   She is married and has two children, a daughter and a son.  Kristyn holds a BS in Early Childhood Education, with certification in both Early Childhood and Early Childhood Special Education.  She also has a Master's in Special Education.   Prior to St. Lucas, Kristyn was an Early Childhood Special Education teacher for 7 years until she left to be a stay at home mom to her children.  In her spare time she loves to read and spend time with her family.  She is excited to work with the children and families at St. Lucas. 

 

Tina Boevingloh has been with St. Lucas since 2015. She is married and has two daughters.  Tina holds a Master’s degree in Elementary Education. Prior to St. Lucas, Tina was a preschool teacher for 7 years where she taught many different age groups ranging from two to four year olds.  In her spare time she loves taking pictures and spending quality time with her family.  She is thrilled to work with the children and families at St. Lucas. 

 

St. Lucas Preschool Extracurricular Teachers

   

Lynda Klosterman says she is "honored to have been chosen as the preschool music teacher".  She is a member of St. Lucas church, a proud mother of three and a newly retired Kindergarten teacher from the Lindbergh School District.  She has worked in education for 30 years.  She enjoys singing and playing games with young children and is looking forward to this new adventure in her life.  

  Janet Fortune has been with St. Lucas since 2015 as our Physical Education Teacher.  She has a Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education and Health from DePaul University and a Master of Education in Elementary Education from University of MO in St. Louis.  Janet taught Physical Education and Health for 35 years, most of which were in the Pattonville School District.  She is married to John and is a member of St. Lucas UCC.

 

St. Lucas Preschool Administrator and Assistants

Barb Coughlin has been with St. Lucas Preschool since February 2009 and provides support to the Preschool as the Office Administrator. She is married to Dan Coughlin and has 2 children, both of which attended St. Lucas Preschool. Barb is a member of the St. Lucas UCC Church, and enjoys volunteering in many aspects of the church. Barb has a BS degree in Marketing and has previously worked in College Admissions and Students Services.

 

 

 

Janet Wallinger has been with St. Lucas Preschool since 2014.  She has been married for 27 years and has 3 daughters.
Janet is also a member of the St. Lucas UCC church.  She has her MS in ME from Washington University and until joining
us at the Preschool enjoyed many years as a "stay at home" mom.  Janet loves working with the children and nurturing them
as they embark on their journey of learning about themselves and the world around them.

Debbie Cliffe-Driver has been with St. Lucas Preschool since 2014.  She is married with 3 children and has lived in the St. Louis, County area all her life. Debbie is also a member at St. Lucas UCC and loves to volunteer with Sunday school classes, VBS and other activities to help the youth at our church and provide support and care in Christian faith. Debbie's motto, “Find something positive daily and be grateful.”

 

Carol Huster has been with St. Lucas Preschool since 2014.  She is married with 3 children and 4 grandchildren.
Carol moved to St. Louis in 2013 from Chattanoog, TN where she resided for 12 years. Carol has spent the last 20 years in a
preschool setting, primarily in administrative roles.  She is also a member of the St. Lucas UCC church.
